![]() Despite the honestly god-awful, stomach-churning, traumatic endeavor that was the live-action interpretation, the franchise remains extremely favored among fans of all ages and continues to grow despite what seems to be an unnecessary lack of new content. So greenlighting more seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra would have made perfect sense even before they made their way to Netflix. Both entries have been very well-regarded among fans all over the world. The Legend of Korra takes place in the same world but 70 years after The Last Airbender and focuses on a new Avatar named Korra. In the Avatar series, the world is run by four nations represented by each element with many individuals able to control them with their minds telekinetically. Before that abomination plagued the big screen and then our souls for eternity, it was a well-crafted anime series following the same but much better-executed storyline of Ang, an Avatar - or person with the ability control all four elements of earth, air, fire, and water. Night Shyamalan movie you always hear people complaining about. Their breakout success has led many to wonder why the streaming giant doesn’t make more animated episodes of both stories?įor those that don’t know Avatar: The Last Airbender was more than just that terrible M.
